Returning Fellowships eligibility criteria updated
The eligibility criteria for the second round of NRN-LCEE Returning Fellowships have been updated to allow for a larger pool of researchers to apply to this opportunity.
NRN-LCEE Returning Fellowships are for researchers who are returning/ have returned from a period of leave, for reasons of maternity/ paternity/ adoption/ health/ caring.
Individual Fellowships of up to £20,000 each are available for researchers returning after a minimum of 6 months of leave. Previously, the minimum period was 12 months.
Because of this change, the deadline for proposals has been extended to 17 December 2015.
Applicants should have returned to (full or part time) work between 1 June 2014 and 31 December 2016, and have a contract of employment at a Welsh HEI, the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology at Bangor or the British Geological Survey Wales that extends beyond 30 June 2018.
Funding can be used for:
Replacement for teaching and/or administrative duties (including recruitment costs and salary costs for replacements)
Travel & subsistence costs to establish new collaborations for research.
Travel & subsistence costs, and registration fees, to attend a maximum of two research conferences.
Applicants must be active/ propose to be active in research areas that fit within the remit of the NRN-LCEE themes (sustainable intensification; low carbon energy pathways; the bio-economy; impacts and mitigation of climate change and human activities).
